I woke up in the morning a few weeks ago hearing a “dang” — my way of spelling the sound of both her feet landing on the floor — I was stunt of how she manage to “ninja” her way out so delicately while just like a cat would do landed on all four — in her case on all two.
I am not the kind to began a text with a pessimistic tone but I must confess, all parents we are bound to fail. The reality is there is no easy road to raise our children. We can get as much theory as we want — exactly what I did — but until actual real life situations, we are clueless.
I have been brainstorming over the past few days to settle my mind on how to remain a honest, truthful model to my daughter without robing her from her childhood.
In the heart of those we raise we are everything. Everything and beyond. We are the most precious, loved, hero like human being in their eyes. They learn above and beyond with and from us. They copy things we do and translate it into their own ways.
I have completed three highly recommended books on how to deal with toddlers facing tantrums or any situations requiring discipline, acknowledgements and guidance our child may need.I can say that nothing has been more clear to me, I’ve decided to share with you my understanding from all these very interesting read in 20 resumed “simple” steps.
Ah ! The joy of motherhood, the ups and down. The beatitude where days are breezing upon us followed by complete chaos. I say bring i-t on. Owing to the definition of motherhood, nothing will ever be perfect and there is beauty in all of the above.
